Well, where to start!?
My name is Yvette, I am 27, I live in the midwest, but was born and raised in Southern California. There are more things that l love about living here than I miss about California, so to answer your question: No, I am not moving back! (I couldn't afford to even if I wanted to!)
Okay more about me... I have a BA in Art with emphasis in Interior Design and I currently work full time for a commercial furniture dealer doing design, project management, marketing, sales, (you name it--I do it)!! By full time I mean 40+ hours a week which means between all of my other responsibilities (getting to that) I am tired almost all the time!
I am a wife and a mother to two active young boys who certainly keep me and my husband busy when we are not working! My oldest just started school and my youngest is in preschool. They are a constant source of amazement, joy, laughter, frustration and often dismay. Nonetheless, whether they are driving me nuts or cracking me up, I love those two with all my heart and wouldn't trade them for the world!
My husband and I got married at 19 after dating for about 9 months. Most people said it was too fast and we were too young. Well, nearly 8 years later, we are still going strong! Of course, just like any normal and healthy relationship, we have our share of challenges, however, it is my personal belief that challenges only make bonds grow stronger. We sure have seen our share of difficult times over the past 7.5 years... We spent our first year of marriage on entirely different sides of the planet (he was stationed in Okinawa, while I was in school in San Diego). So, I am pretty sure that our bond has been forged by fire.
Well, I know there is more to say about me... here's a short list of my favorite things/activities/etc.
bargain hunting, antiques, garage sales, books, design, architecture, gardening, cobalt glass, stars, vintage clothes, jewelry, photography, family, fitness, pets, biking, road trips, auctions, traveling, paris, the beach, flowers, chocolate, netflix, comedy, candles, fuzzy socks...
While some of that sounds cheesy, that's all I could think of for the time being. So, thanks for checking out my blog and getting to know me!
